Air Travel
All hunts start at Ft. Grahame which is Finlay River Outfitters main base camp. To reach Ft Grahame you will need to allow two days travel. The first day you will travel from your home to Prince George B.C. Upon your arrival in Prince George you will be picked up by the staff of the Chalet Sans Souci, a local B+B owned and operated by Lutz and Jackie Klaar. (1-250-963-7202) You can call direct to make your own bookings or we will do it at your request. The next morning you will be delivered to Northern Thunderbird Air which provides scheduled air service to Ft. Grahame five days a week. The return airfare from Prince George to Ft. Grahame is $510.30. We will make the bookings with NT Air for you.
The morning after your arrival in Ft. Grahame your hunt begins.
Your return home will also take two days. The first day you will fly from Ft. Grahame to Prince George, overnight at the B+B and then catch the big plane home the second day.
Travel by Vehicle
While Ft. Grahame can be reached by road it is not for the faint of heart. Ft. Grahame is a 12 hour drive from Prince George B.C., ten of which is on a gravel logging road. If you wish to drive we will provide a map upon request.
